They cruised home in the finish, both Hodge and McDonald combining for an unbeaten third wicket stand of 124 from 80 deliveries in 47 minutes to see them home for an important win to keep their campaign alive!
However, with both Brad Hodge and Andrew McDonald set, they picked up the run rate, and then exploded in the latter overs, scoring the third 50 in just 18 balls with 5 maximums in that span of three overs!
They started off very well, but the loss of both Aaron Finch and Glenn Maxwell in quick succession slowed them down. Stuart MacGill and Steve Smith then combined in the middle overs to slow the rate down further.
A fabulous victory for the home side Melbourne Renegades, they've won this match by 8 wickets with 14 balls to spare, winning it in a canter in the finish!
